Business start-up loans, mentoring and support

The mentoring has given us time to reflect on the positive things we've worked towards, which is difficult when you're dealing with day to day issues. Our mentor has also helped us with the practical side of things such as conducting interviews with candidates and making sure our equality and diversity practices are in place.

Loan mentoring

Mentoring is an invaluable part of the Start Up Loans programme. Every individual who successfully applies for a Start Up Loan is matched with a mentor. Newable's business mentors have the skills and / or experience relevant to support your needs.

Mentoring is not consultancy. Your mentor will provide you with personal and business guidance but not consultancy. You, the entrepreneur at all times will be making the decisions for your business. Your mentor will guide you on researching and interpreting information, understanding problems and identifying solutions and implementing action plans.

You can arrange meetings with your mentor at times that suit you both, whether over the phone or by video call. Your mentor will offer you up to 15 hours of mentoring for a period of 12 months after you receive your loan.

Your Start Up Loan also allows you to access several pages of great offers from Corporate Partners that are exclusive to Start Up Loans recipients, so take your pick of the ones that make the most sense for your business. These are listed at:
